CrazyInsomniac asked: I am in a deathcore group and I’m interested in pursuing a career in audio recording. Needless to say, we scream for vocals and use low-tuned 7 string guitars, and have crazy fast double-kick and snare on drums.
I’m curious as to what professional studios use to record metal professionally.
So I would like to hear from some pros out there, what would you recommend to buy, both equipment-wise and software-wise?

Dan asked: When I watch football on CBS HD, it seems like the audio (both the volume and the speaker channels) go back and forth between two separate settings every few minutes, especially when they switch from the game to their “news desk” back at CBS headquarters. Anyone else have this problem??
I have a very high-end audio receiver and the best cable box that my cable company offers, so I am relatively confident that my equipment is not at fault … especially since it doesn’t happen on any other TV channel.
It’s really takes away from their coverage, just curious if anyone else notices it.

mrkleen340 asked: Here is my problem, I bought a home theater from wal-mart and I think I may have purchased the wrong one. (I can’t return it, it has been too long) My tv has speakers that are external and are connected to something like this: http://www.goldmine-elec-products.com/images/G13930B.jpg
This tv has no audio out aside from cables like that, here is where it is messed up. The home theater has these as the input from the tv: (Note: the one on the bottom, the Red and white input)
http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a327/Hi_Ho/AudioConnections.jpg
My equipment:
~42″ Plasma Magnivox TV
~RCA Home theater (RT2770)
Can anyone tell me how to hook this up, I have tried my local radio shack and got a cable that I rigged to fit both ends but nothing comes through. Are audio wires different then any old wire?
Thanks in advance, Dan.

violavampire asked: I will be teaching several mathematics classes this year, and I thought I would try something different. I want to record my lectures, my explanations, my thought process as I work out a problem in hopes that this will help my students in the long run. I would like to record them (audio only due to privacy issues) and then upload them to our school website available for streaming. What equipment/program do you recommend for me to do this?

Patman asked: When I try to call someone on yahoo, a message says “The call could not be completed. Your computer’s audio equipment (your microphone and speakers) are being used by another program. Please close that program, and then try again.” How do I fix this? I don’t know what program to look for let alone close! Help!
