David L asked: I play music a lot professionally, I have a tub of cables I usually leave in my car. It generally holds two microphones and a couple of effects pedals, along with numerous cables and incidentals. I leave this in my back-seat pretty much all the time.
I would not ever leave one of my amps in the car or my PA head, but I do leave the tub of cables. In the winter it gets pretty cold in the South (not usually really freezing but cold) and in the summer it gets really hot. Am I risking my gear by leaving it in the car 24-7?
Thanks!!!
Matthew

david s asked: I want nothing to do with digital audio. All my equipment is top-quality vacuum-tube stuff from the sixties, and I think the quality of sound reproduction is superb. I firmly believe that good vinyl played on excellent analog equipment is far superior to anything digital. I have never owned a CD player and have only a vague idea of what an iPod is. Friends say I ‘m a little nuts. Am I?

topdog9926 asked: Hello,
What equipment would you suggest would be best suited for recording the various conversations of around 30-40 people in an enclosed room, with the main focus of recording the voice of one particular person who’d be doing most of the talking?
I run an educational training facility and I’m looking to have an audio recording of each class. I intend that the recording will be focused on the facilitator, but also want the option of capturing the questions and comments of members of the class. I’m looking at a regular classroom size (not sure the exact measurement, but enough to hold about 30 people.)
Thank you.

benniegoodsill asked: I have been to a couple concerts recently and have noticed a cone on the side of the stage. It is a clear cone shaped device with some kind of metal spiraled around it. The big end of the cone (A foot or less in diameter) faced the stage. Does anyone know what this is?

tmick10 asked: if a guitar amp emmits 120 watts of audio power into the speakers does that mean that the amp uses 120 watts of electrical power?
i need a converter for a peavey 6505 stack amp - 230v to 110v - can i use a converter that supports up to 200watts or are audio watts and electrical watts different?
thanks
Loretta

Joel asked: I will be going on a camping trip and need information / resources for getting pro sound on the fly. I will be nowhere near a power source..
I already have the mics and whatnot.. I just need to know portable audio capturers (whatever they are called) that can record from serveral different microphones.
Battery life / durability = important.
Thank you so much!
This will be video and audio. Recording them both onto the tape is a BIG nono. I need a way to record the audio separately.

aaronfrommaine asked: I’ve heard of BHPhoto, J&R, and Camcor and was wondering if anyone had purchased from any of these stores? I’m looking for SDHC cards and they are pretty pricey so I don’t want to get ripped off.
