   Software wise, i really reccomend Steinberg’s Nuendo 4 (http://www.steinberg.net/1409_1.html).

   It has an immense range of capabilites that rival most other software in its field.

   It costs something in the range of $2700 including VAT, so im unsure of whether your budget will stretch to such limits for a single program. If it does, I highly recommend it.
