FeedTheWorld! asked: I’ve been told that I need a mixer w/phantom power, an ADDA audio interface, and condenser mics. But i’m cost conscious right now and I just want to work with two el-cheapo mics to get a 2-man internet radio talk show going. I also want to have music in between talks.
What equipment do I need?
Yes, I need a computer and internet access. I got that part down.

irobot10 asked: I really enjoy working around home entertainment electronics. However my knowledge is random, tit-bits, basically hear-say type. Where can I get formal training in home audio-video? I would “love” to be able to take up a part time job as a home theatre installer or a sales-person or a support technician in a specialized audio-video store. (Actually I can not imagine any fancy more exciting than being in the middle of high-end AV equipment and getting paid for it!) Where can I start?

green eyed lady asked: I am 37 and my husband is 38. We are both fairly intelligent, and hard working. We both currently have good jobs and are doing pretty well. We have been doing alot of thinking that we should start a business. We sort of feel stuck in a rut at our jobs, and **** the fact that we have to account for every move to a boss. He is extremely talented in the technology field. Computers, digital, and audio equipment, any kind of gadgets. I on the other hand Love gardening, organizing things, and anything to do with the outdoors. We both LOVE coffee, good music, and I would say kind of eccentric things. We both have experience with a variety of things from waiting tables to working in a microbiology lab. We have alot of talents but we don’t have any experience in owning a business. What should we be focusing on as far as getting things started. Please anyone with any knowledge of being your own boss and being successful at it, I would appreciate any advice you could give.

decemberspill asked: I have a 2002 grand am that has a monsoon sound system. I went into circuit city hoping to find an easy fix, such as buying two new speakers and simply plugging them into the mounts where the old ones were. However, they said since it’s a monsoon system it would involve rewiring this and that and tweeters etc. and I have no clue when it comes to audio equipment. Is there a way to just buy something that will plug in the clip in my trunk ceiling that I took my old ones out of?

hid3nax asked: Hello everyone. I recently purchased VW Golf 5 with standart audio equipment (Radio and CD player). There were 12 radio stations added: six in FM1 and six in FM2 (switched by fressing the “FM” button).
My questions:
1. Is there any way to add six more (or twelve?) radio stations to the existing list? So it would be FM1, FM2 and FM3.
2. What do the buttons “TP” and “AS” do? (I don’t have the users manual now unfortunately).
Thanks.

thomasthefool asked: preamp, amp, receiver, watts over speaker limit, under speaker limit, subwoofer
What are all these things. What’s the difference between an amp and a preamp? Is a receiver an amp with a radio tuner (with a preamp as well?) ?
What happens when you go over the speaker’s watt limit? Do you blow the speaker?
I’m not making this up, but there was some article that said if you go under the wattage of a speaker That could Actually DAMAGE your speaker saying it’s unconventional wisdom but true.
Is it necessary to get a subwoofer? If you don’t get a subwoofer, do your speakers do the work?
Pardon my language but HOW THE HELL are you going to choose a good pair of speakers when there are an infinite number of brands all purporting to be high class?
Thanks that’s all I can think of?
Nancy
